About

John Joseph Gomes is an Actor and retired dancer and dance teacher  born and raised in Rhode Island and has recently become a film maker and screenwriter. He is excited about this new chapter in his life. John’s background and training come from theater but over the last few years he’s become more involved in the low budget film scene. 3 Days, is the first mini-webseries on which John is writer, director, producer, and actor. (click here to see all 6 episodes) He enjoyed the experience and followed up that production with Too Soon, which is currently in post. The script for Blackout has been entered into several screenplay festivals and is currently in production.  John also has several other projects in the works that he’s hoping to produce under LoisAnnie Productions (Formerly LoisAnnie Films) which he named after his mother who passed away in ’97 and who, along with his father and sister, encouraged John to begin acting at age 11.

John has a small part as “Gandhi” in Scorpio Film Releasing’s feature film “Nun of That” which is currently screening around

Rhode Island

Nun of That is an action-comedy that follows Sister Kelly Wrath (Sarah Nicklin) as she transforms from a nun with a habit of flying off the handle to a vengeful killer. After being gunned down in an alley, she ascends to heaven to receive training from some of the great figures of religious mythology (Moses, Gandhi, and Jesus himself). She is then set back to Earth to join the other members of the Order of the Black Habit, a group of supernatural vigilante nuns as they seek revenge against the mob. It's a hilarious ride that will keep you laughing from beginning till end. (adult content)
